Why we built this

Government data is often hard to get, leaving businesses, researchers, and the public waiting for weeks. We built data.gov.sg (DGS) to provide accurate, useable, and timely data to make large-scale decisions easier.

What we've built

DGS is Singapore’s open data sharing platform. We’re making government data accessible by co-creating datasets collected by different agencies. These allow businesses, researchers, and the public to innovate and make informed decisions.

National datasets made open

We work with over 70 government agencies to provide free access to more than 5,000 datasets—from weather and housing, to transport and the economy.

Reliable APIs that scale

From small personal projects to nationwide applications, DGS provides real-time APIs to help developers build with confidence.

What’s an api?

APIs helps different computer programmes share information. For example, a website can make an API call to automatically download weather data from DGS.
