Referral Exchange aims to digitise all healthcare referrals in Singapore, starting with subsidised specialist referrals. It is a backend layer that integrates with all major healthcare IT systems and consolidates all the API endpoints, so that they are easily consumable by upstream systems.

Why we built this

Manual, paper-based referral processes often delay patient care. Healthcare providers needed a way to refer patients to services quickly, and communicate with one another effectively.

What we've built

Referral Exchange (RefX) was built as part of the National Referrals Programme, led by the Ministry of Health. RefX handles healthcare referrals across healthcare providers to give you smooth, connected care.

Referrals with the right information

RefX guides staff through referral creation, increasing referral accuracy and reducing rejections.

Customisable for different providers

RefX lets providers create referrals in the format and flow that works best for their needs.

Connected to key systems

RefX supports and is expanding across existing healthcare referral systems—so providers can use it with systems they already know.
